The Bengal History Natural Museum was officially handed over to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling Park on 26.11.2009 vide Govt. of WB notification no. 9665-For/FR/O/11M-26/2009. Later on the by virtue of Govt. of WB notification no. 1134/FR/O/L/6M-12/2015 the Bengal Natural History Museum has been incorporated to the West Bengal Zoo Authority on 02.06.2015 for its upkeep and maintenance . The museum has already been shifted from the ground floor of the Wildlife Division I, Darjeeling to the newly constructed building within the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling. 
 
Bengal Natural History Museum, Darjeeling, enchants visitors with a fascinating presentation of diverse flora and fauna and the museum is also important form the archaeological point of view. There are a wide variety of items in the exhibit area, all are digitized by photographing each items with all information.
